Who We Are

Wings of Angels Foundation is a rescue mission for thousands of poor people located in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico, immediately across the US border from Douglas, Arizona, and provides medical and life sustaining services to the poorest of the poor throughout the community. We began seeing patients and providing services in 1998 with volunteers and incorporated in 2000 as a tax-exempt 501 (C)3 non-profit charity in accordance with the rules of the United States Internal Revenue Service Code (EIN: 86-0989829). We are also registered with the Arizona Corporation Commission. Today, Wings of Angels we has a 5-member volunteer Board of Directors who are instrumental in achieving our goals. We operate a completely free, full-service medical clinic one weekend a month with all volunteer providers and administrative staff. The clinic doors are also open twice weekly for follow-up and medicine.

The Mission of Wings of Angels foundation is to rescue, stabilize and transform the “more-than-poor” on the border in Agua Prieta and northern Sonora, Mexico. We hope to treat the problem of human suffering that fosters the need to leave Mexico. The Wings of Angels Clinic serves people who are not served by any other agency or group. The Clinic brings medical people (e.g. nurse practitioners, doctors, physical therapists, nurses, orthotists, equipment specialists and others) together who provide pro bono services to those in need. Funding is primarily for equipment, materials and medicines that are provided free of charge to those serviced at the Clinic.
